I guess I need to officially inform everyone about the most memorable event of my life somehow? I really don’t know where to begin….So tied up with work, and the weekend was somewhat a reward for the past week of work overload de-stress-ment.

Believe me, I wasn’t expecting it… Not now of course.. With so many events taking place, there were barely enough room to breathe.

Well with that aside, KK planned a trip to Thistle, PD and told me that I needed to finish off my works so we can go for a short trip or something.. He had it all planned out..

It was a nice cozy place that I knew of sometime back when Kwek intro-ed me the place when we were in PD and we kinda liked the place. Mayang peeps had been there too.. And it was then that we anyhow gotten a room just to spite off the security into letting us use their facilities. That was then…. Little did I know that KK had everything planned out. He had earlier went in hunt for a ring.. From 1U to Pyramid to other places (by himself) to get a nice symbolic engagement ring for me.. It was meant for Christmas! Wow..

So that day at Thistle, after checking in and all, we went for a walk just before dinner.. Took some silly pics here and there, as usual, and continued our stroll. Then we headed to this place along the beach where he asked me to wait for the Sun to set so we can have a picturesque view for that matter. It rained earlier on the way to PD! I guess he was also worried la.. Later his plans all foiled. Hahaha…

He asked me to sit down by the beach, looked around (perhaps worried some1 might hijack the ring, lol) and then asked me to close my eyes since he was about to pass me my long due present for xmas!

When he asked me to open my eyes again, it was then when he popped the question. I was of course dumbfounded and speechless at the same time lar.. He said he had almost wanted to cry out of the overwhelming amount of emotions.. Then he went on his knees after awhile and that’s when I knew he was serious. So yea, clogged up with emotions, I said I will but told him it wouldn't be anytime soon since we're both so busy and everything isn't planned out just yet. I asked him when will it be, he said most likely around the end of 2012 (yea the end of the world huh I know) so this was just a symbolic gesture, nothing big.. 0.45 carat considered big la!!! LoL…

So stay tuned la ok? Still got long way more to go…Don’t worry… I would need all the help I can get, experience talk, wedding mistakes advices,  etc. from now til then of course!

It was back to work today. With so much to do, so little time, I just posted some pics on FB, overwhelmed with the responses so far, some via MSN and SMS and even calls. Stay tuned ya! I’m sorry if I did not personally tell ya’ll… It isn’t happening any time soon, no papers nothing. Just something me and KK need to work on til then J Wish us luck! J

I have a thing for talented women.. Not those half-blinded, half-deaf women on the road who drive like a snail and causes the massiveness of jam everywhere, not to mention getting honked at for their lame driving skills..

Hehe.. ok back to the point.. It's inspiring to know there are so many talented people out there, and I hope 2010 will allow me to pick up the skills needed for me to groom into a complete woman. I am so busy with my schedule right now, I'm only praying there is enough time to complete 'em all. (plus, I've not hit the gym for close to 2mths+ now!)

Likey this song from wonder girls.. Their rhythm and dance is so catchy.. and they are oh so cute.. look at their chun chun figures!

Ok time to sign off now.... Take care guys and have a superb year ahead! Happy New Year!!

LoVe Ya'LL! xoxo

Happy Holidays ya'll! don't miss me too much!

The Black Cat I Named Lucky~

Honestly speaking, I'm not a cat person.. Plus now that my house is more like a zoo, with rabbits, a dog and fish, where on earth can I make space for a new addition? what more a Black Kitty.. One can only shake their heads with disapproval. LoL...

So this kitty was making so much noise the other day, with its sibling, they were both crying the whole nite through as no one attended to them at the back of my house. My mom opened the back door and we saw them sprawling alongside the drain, which was such a pitiful sight. Me being me, I picked them up, brought them in and wiped them clean before placing them into a box meant for storing my mom's 1 carton of red wine. LoL... You can imagine her fuming anger when she couldn't get a box to fit the 12 bottles of wine back.. sorry mom.. you know I'm damn random one.. (you should know la since I have some of your genes.. hehe)

My aunt took one back the other day for her friend which was good cuz we just couldn't keep all of them.. Leaving us with the black one, which til today I still find adorable. Maybe cuz it's still a kitten la.. It's all black, from its fur colour to the tone of its eyes. They say black cats aren't a good sign but some beliefs portray a different meaning.. In fact I named it Lucky to ward off whatever nonsensical clauses about black cats..Plus, my grandma said in Chinese's culture, black cats bring wealth to the family..something in Hokkien that rhymes with what black cat is black on the outside, white in the inside, and will bring you 2 thousand dollars.. hmmm... those days 2k meant a great deal d! The Americans however signify them with some bad luck thing (what more I got it on the 13th of the month!) Since it sounded interesting, I started to google em' up.. Black Cats and their Significance:

Cats and Luck

·         English schoolchildren believed seeing a white cat on the way to school was sure to bring trouble. To prevent the bad luck, they were to spit or turn around completely and make the sign of the cross.

·         Charles I, king of England, owned a black cat that he felt brought him luck. He was so afraid of losing it that he had it guarded day and night. As it happened, the day after the cat died, he was arrested.

·         A cat sneezing is a good omen for everyone who hears it. - Italian superstition

·         Dreaming of a cat is sometimes regarded as a sign of bad luck in the future. On the other hand, American folklore has it that dreaming of a white cat is good luck.

·         In England, it was believed that if a black cat lived in the house, the young lass would have plenty of suitors. (ooo this sounds interesting ^^.)

·         In France, it is believed that if you find one white hair on a black cat, Lady Luck will smile upon you. (I oughta go look for one now! hehe)

·         In Yorkshire, England, while it is lucky to own a black cat, it is extremely unlucky to come across one accidentally.

·         In the early 16th century, a visitor to an English home would always kiss the family cat to bring good luck. (so who wants to kiss Lucky hmm?)

·         In the Dark Ages, a cat was mortared, while still alive, into the foundation of a building to ensure good luck to the inhabitants.

·         If  a black cat crosses your path while your driving, turn your hat around backwards and mark an X on your windshield to prevent bad luck.

·         It is bad luck to cross a stream carrying a cat. - French superstition

·         Fishermen's wives kept a black cat at home to prevent disaster at sea.

·         It is bad luck to see a white cat at night. - American superstition

·         To see a white cat on the road is lucky. - American superstition

·         Fisherman's wives kept black cats while their husbands went away to sea.  They believed that the black cats would prevent danger from occurring to their husbands.  These black cats were considered so valuable that they were often stolen.

·         It is considered bad luck to pass a black cat after 9 pm

·         In North America, it's bad luck if a black cat crosses your path and good luck if a white cat crosses your path. In Britain and Ireland, it's the opposite.

·         If a black cat walks towards you, it brings good fortune, but if it walks away, it takes the good luck with it.?

..So what's with Luck anyways? We make most of it on our own.. Anyhoos, let's just hope Lucky brings me Luck!..

til then! super busy mode now!! LUCKYYYYY!!~
